WELCOME TO WALKER! 

Walker exists to love anyone, from anywhere into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! With that said, we are incredibly excited that you are thinking about visiting! In anticipation of your arrival, we have created a top 10 list of questions that might help you better prepare for your visit. We can’t wait to meet you and look forward to developing a new friendship.

 

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

If you are visiting for the first time, we promise not to embarrass you. We understand your desire to be “anonymous” in your first visit. You will be invited to come in, enjoy the worship service and see if Walker is for you. You will be given a connection card, and we will ask that you fill it out so that we can follow up with you after your visit. No obligation to fill out the connection card though. Again, we will go out of our way NOT to make you feel uncomfortable.

 

WHAT WILL THE SERVICE BE LIKE?

 

During a Walker Worship Gathering  you will hear dynamic music, relevant preaching and you will meet some of the friendliest people on the planet. Our services usually last right at 90 minutes in length, but don’t worry, boredom will never be an issue. We encourage you to check out the “Who we are” page, to learn more about Walker, our style of worship and our beliefs. 

 

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

 

We love kids at Walker and kids seem to love it here too! When you and your family arrive at our campus, you will be directed to our Lighthouse Kids family Check – in center. There you will be asked to input all of the important information concerning your children. We will then invite your child to join us for our Nursery (newborn – 2 years of age), Elevate Kids (3-5 years of age), or Lighthouse Kids (1st – 5th grade) services.  We provide children with a safe, exciting, high-energy atmosphere that is centralized on the idea that it can NEVER be too early for someone to start their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and make an impact on their world.

 

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY?

 

We do receive an offering as part of our worship gathering. If you would like to participate in giving, we thank you in advance. Your financial contribution helps us to take the message of hope all around the globe. We believe that all of our giving is in response to God and part of our worship. However, it is important to us that our guests do not feel any pressure to give financially.

 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
 

We encourage you to wear whatever you would normally wear. We are more concerned with getting to know you than with what you are wearing. At Walker you will never see one particular style of clothing.

 

DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
 

Yes! At Walker our small groups are designed to make disciples, one relationship at a time. Small groups are an important part of Walker; in fact, we believe you haven’t fully experienced our church until you have experienced our Life Groups. This ministry allows you to meet other people just like you and to develop relationships that will strengthen your walk with God. Life Groups meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 am, as well as throughout the week on various nights. 

 

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?
 

Simply stop by our “Next Steps” table located in the lobby of our church. There we can get you connected into the right group. You can also visit our Life Groups section of this website for more information.
